Why Homeowners Choose IntraFinish Plastering for Stress‑Free Renovations
Since 2015, I’ve been helping homeowners across Alsager & Sandbach, Cheshire East and parts of Staffordshire turn tired rooms into clean, modern spaces with smooth, ready‑to‑paint walls and ceilings. What started as CB Plastering Contractors has evolved into IntraFinish Plastering – a small, specialist team focused on domestic plastering and renovations, with a simple promise: plastering you can trust, delivered with genuine care for your home.
For most people, having trades in the house is stressful. You’re worrying about dust, mess, time off work and whether the finish will actually look as good as you’ve been promised. My goal with IntraFinish Plastering is to remove as much of that stress as possible, so you’re left with a smooth finish and a good experience, not a headache.

Who we are
I’m Chris, owner and lead plasterer at IntraFinish Plastering. I founded the business in 2015 after training with a local plasterer and family friend, and I’ve been focused on domestic work ever since – family homes, rentals, renovations and everything in between.
Based in Sandbach, we cover parts of Cheshire East, Stoke‑on‑Trent, Newcastle‑under‑Lyme and the Staffordshire Moorlands, including places like Alsager, Biddulph, Kidsgrove, Congleton and the surrounding villages. Over the years we’ve completed hundreds of projects in the area, from small patch repairs to full‑house re‑skims and garage conversions.

What you get as standard with IntraFinish Plastering
A lot of plasterers talk about being “high quality”, but don’t explain what that actually looks like in your home day to day. Here’s what you can expect as standard when you book IntraFinish Plastering:
• Reliable service: We agree dates and times and stick to them, keeping you updated by phone, WhatsApp or email if anything changes.
• Clean and tidy workmanship: Floors and stairs are carefully protected before any mixing starts, and we tidy up at the end of each day, not just at the end of the job.
• Experienced plastering: With over 10 years in the trade and 300+ domestic projects completed, there’s not much we haven’t seen – from wavy 1930s walls to cracked artex ceilings.
• Fully insured and professional: We’re properly insured and paperwork‑ready, giving homeowners, landlords and letting agents peace of mind.
• Respect for your home: We treat your house as if it were our own, working carefully around your belongings and family routine.
It sounds simple, but those little things – turning up on time, communicating clearly, and leaving the place tidy – are exactly what local customers mention most in their reviews and messages.
How we protect your home
Plastering is a messy trade if it’s not managed properly, which is why we put so much emphasis on room protection and customer care. Long before we open a bag of plaster, we’re thinking about your carpets, flooring and belongings.
On a typical job, that means:
• Covering walkways, floors and stairs with appropriate protection, so plaster and water never touch your carpets or finished flooring.
• Sheet‑covering furniture that can’t be moved and sealing off work areas to control dust as much as possible.
• Keeping tools, buckets and materials in a contained area rather than scattered all over the house.
We’ve gone into more depth on this in our “Customer Care and Room Protection” article, but the bottom line is this: your home should feel looked‑after, not trashed, while the work is being done. Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how clean things are when we finish a job.

The plastering work we specialize in
IntraFinish Plastering focuses on domestic plastering – the kind of work that makes the biggest difference to how your home feels day to day. Some of the most common projects we take on include:
• Full room and whole‑house re‑skims to bring old, uneven walls and ceilings back to a smooth, modern finish.
• Skimming over artex and tired ceilings, and overboarding where ceilings are cracked, sagging or heavily patterned.
• Dry lining and dot‑and‑dab for new stud walls, garage conversions, extensions and layout changes.
• Patch repairs after electricians, plumbers or leaks have damaged existing plaster.
• Coving and finishing touches that tie a renovation together and give rooms a more complete feel.
Whether it’s a single ceiling or a full renovation, the approach is the same: detailed prep, a clean, smooth finish, and honest communication about timescales and drying times so you know exactly when you can decorate.

What local homeowners say
We’re proud that much of our work now comes from repeat clients and recommendations – neighbours who’ve seen a project we’ve done down the road, family members of past customers, or people who’ve followed our work on Facebook and Instagram. Recent reviews consistently mention how clean we are, how carefully we work, and how easy it is to communicate throughout the job.
Rather than copying reviews here, I’d rather invite you to read what local homeowners have said for themselves and scroll through our recent projects. You’ll find a mix of before‑and‑after photos, garage conversions, ceiling over‑skims and full room transformations that show the level of finish you can expect.
Getting a quote from IntraFinish
Most of our jobs start with something simple: a message and a few photos. You don’t need to know the technical terms – just tell us what’s bothering you about the room, ceiling or wall, and we’ll guide you from there.
To get a free, no‑obligation quote, you can:
• Send photos and a short description via WhatsApp or text.
• Fill out the contact form on our website with your postcode and room details.
• Or give us a call if you’d rather talk it through.
We’ll be honest about what’s involved, whether a quick repair will do or whether it’s worth investing in a full re‑skim, and how long the work is likely to take. The aim is to give you clear information so you can plan properly – not surprise you with extras halfway through.
If you’re based in Sandbach, Cheshire East or the surrounding Staffordshire areas and you’re thinking about refreshing your walls or ceilings, I’d be happy to help you work out the best way forward.
